Caitlin Clark may be the biggest superstar in the basketball world right now, but she is proving once again that the fame has not changed her humble, generous spirit! While the WNBA offseason is in full swing, the Indiana Fever point guard is making major headlines—not for draining logo threes, but for delivering the ultimate surprise to one very lucky 14-year-old fan.
The Ultimate Dream Commercial
The heartwarming viral moment actually started on the set of a commercial shoot. As many fans know, the 24-year-old WNBA phenom is a massive partner with Gatorade. During the offseason, Clark was filming an ad for a limited-run Rain Berry-flavored beverage alongside Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton.
Also featured in the commercial was a 14-year-old girl named Britt Schellhammer. Like millions of other girls right now, Britt is a massive Caitlin Clark fan. Sharing a set with her idol was already a dream come true, and Britt assumed she would just walk away with a few cool photos to remember the day.
Caitlin, however, had a much bigger surprise waiting.
The Ultimate Sneaker Flex
Taking to X (formerly Twitter) to share her disbelief, Britt revealed that Clark didn’t just take pictures with her—she gifted her a personally autographed pair of Nike sneakers!
But these weren’t just any sneakers you can buy at the mall. Clark gifted her an incredibly rare pair of Nike Kobe 6 Protros in a stunning purple colorway. These specific sneakers are dubbed the “Vanessa Bryants,” named after the late Kobe Bryant’s wife, who first teased the gorgeous design on social media last February.
What makes this gesture absolutely jaw-dropping is that these shoes are not publicly available. Nike hasn’t even announced an official release date for them yet! Clark essentially handed over one of the rarest, most exclusive pairs of sneakers on the planet to a teenage fan just to make her day special.
The People’s Champ
This isn’t the first time Clark has shown her fans immense love. Last May, she famously handed over her game-worn shoes to a young girl in the stands following a hard-fought win over the Atlanta Dream.
While the basketball world waits for the next WNBA season to tip off, Caitlin is making sure her fans feel the love off the court.
