Indiana Fever fans have seen plenty of ups and downs this season, but one thing has been constant: Aliyah Boston keeping the team alive. And now, Caitlin Clark—still sidelined with injuries—has let the world know she sees it too.
Clark’s second season hasn’t gone the way anyone hoped. After her Rookie of the Year breakout, she’s been stuck on the bench for most of the year with quadriceps and groin tears. Twenty-six missed games. That alone would rattle any team, but the Fever also lost Sophie Cunningham, Aari McDonald, and Sydney Colson for the season. For a moment, it looked like the year might be lost.
Then Boston took over.
Clark’s heartfelt shout-out
Boston recently dropped an Instagram post, a carousel of photos, one of which showed her hugging Clark during the grind of this brutal season. Her caption was simple: “Hoopin’ and vibing.”
Clark’s reply? Just four words: “So proud of you.”
That was enough to send Fever fans into a frenzy. Because that’s exactly how they feel too. Boston hasn’t just stepped up—she’s carried this team, night after night, when everything seemed stacked against them.
Boston is the backbone
Look at the numbers. Fifteen and a half points per game. More than eight rebounds. Nearly four assists. And then there was Saturday against the Sparks. Boston went full superstar mode: 22 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists, dragging Indiana to a nail-biting 76–75 win.
That performance sums it all up. Without Clark, without Cunningham, without McDonald, without Colson, Boston has been the steady hand keeping the Fever alive.
Now the record stands at 21–18. Sixth place. Less than a week left in the regular season. The playoffs are still within reach, and if Indiana makes it, we all know why.
Boston’s name is going to be written all over it.
Caitlin Clark said it best: So proud of you.
