Kon Knueppel Led the Entire NBA in Three-Pointers Made — Not Just the Rookies, the Whole League

When people talk about Kon Knueppel breaking the NBA rookie record for three-pointers made, they are underselling what actually happened this season. Because Knueppel did not just lead his rookie class. He did not just set a new benchmark for first-year players. He led the entire NBA in three-pointers made  veterans, All-Stars, and everyone else included.

The final numbers have officially confirmed it. Knueppel finished the season as the league leader in total three-pointers made across all players. Right behind him? Donovan Mitchell, one of the most accomplished and respected shooting guards in the league, who finished next with 191 made threes. Knueppel did not just edge Mitchell. He dusted him.

Read that again slowly. A rookie. In his first professional season. Led the entire National Basketball Association in three-pointers made. He did not sneak into the top ten or quietly rank in the top five. He was first. Number one. Ahead of every established shooter in the sport.

The three-point line is the single most important offensive weapon in modern basketball. Spacing, gravity, shot creation  everything flows from the ability to threaten from deep. Knueppel did not just threaten from deep this season. He terrorized defenses from beyond the arc better than any player in the league, at any stage of their career.

He lost the Rookie of the Year award. He did not lose the three-point title. That belongs to him, and no vote can change it.
