NBA 2K26 Launches Season 1 with A’ja Wilson and Kelsey Plum Leading the Way

The doors to Season 1 in NBA 2K26 are officially open, bringing fresh rewards across every game mode to celebrate the start of the new cycle. With early access already underway, players are jumping in to chase cards and content that highlight some of the sport’s brightest names.

A centerpiece of this year’s update is the arrival of WNBA athletes in MyTeam, a first for the series. The kickoff season shines a spotlight on this addition with a Ruby card of Los Angeles Sparks guard Kelsey Plum. Sporting an 89 overall rating, Plum arrives with extras to help new players settle in, including three Promo Packs and a Double XP Coin.

The progression track in MyTeam continues to deliver variety. Along the way, players can earn an Amethyst version of Houston Rockets big man Steven Adams, Detroit Pistons forward Tobias Harris, and even add coach Billy Donovan to their collection. The intensity rises at Level 30 with a Diamond card for Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young.

Things get truly serious once the higher levels are reached. At Level 35, Las Vegas Aces star A’ja Wilson makes her presence felt with a Pink Diamond card rated 96 overall. Wilson, a two-time WNBA champion and three-time league MVP, stands as one of the strongest options available this early in the cycle. Not far behind, Level 40 unlocks a Pink Diamond Klay Thompson, ensuring sharpshooters have a legendary option to aim for.

Season 1 also delivers extras for MyCareer and The City. Players can decorate their personal court with a Shaquille O’Neal mural or step onto the blacktop dressed as the Oklahoma City Thunder mascot, complete with the bison suit, while battling for buckets.

The season sets the tone for NBA 2K26, mixing NBA stars, WNBA pioneers, and creative rewards into a start that pushes the game into new territory.
