THE CHI-TOWN BARBIE IS BACK! Angel Reese Returns to Save Rose BC’s Season

By Unrivaled Insider • February 12, 2026

Just when you thought the Unrivaled season couldn’t get any more dramatic, the league dropped a bombshell that has basketball Twitter in a frenzy.

Angel Reese is officially back. 🔥

After weeks of speculation, TikTok teasers, and roster chaos, the Chicago Sky superstar has agreed to a new deal to return to the 3-on-3 league for the remainder of the 2026 season. She is rejoining the defending champions, Rose BC, and is set to make her season debut on February 20 against Hive BC.

The Queen Returns to Her Throne 👑

Reese isn’t just “returning”—she is coming back to defend a legacy. In the league’s inaugural season, she was an absolute force of nature. She was named the Defensive Player of the Year, led the entire league in rebounding (12.2 RPG), and recorded the first-ever 20-point, 20-rebound game in Unrivaled history.

Rose BC won the first championship, but Reese had to watch the finals from the sidelines due to a hand injury. Now, she has unfinished business.

How Did This Happen? (The Drama) 📉➡️📈

Reese originally opted not to play this season, but a wild chain of events opened the door for her return. It started with a devastating injury to Breeze BC’s Aari McDonald, who was ruled out for the season. This triggered a massive four-team trade on Monday:

  • Courtney Williams went to Breeze BC.

  • Saniya Rivers went to Vinyl BC.

  • Azurá Stevens was traded away from Rose BC to Hive BC.

That trade left Rose BC with a gaping hole in their frontcourt. Enter Angel Reese. Her teammate (and fellow Chicago Sky star) Kahleah Copper practically leaked the news days ago on TikTok, commenting on a Reese unboxing video: “Inbox this Rose jersey”.

Can She Save Rose BC? 🥀

The timing couldn’t be better. Rose BC is currently sitting at 5-6 and fighting for playoff positioning. They desperately need the interior dominance and swagger that only Reese can bring.

She joins a loaded core that includes Chelsea Gray, Kahleah Copper, and Lexie Hull. With Reese back in the paint, the “Rosebuds” are suddenly looking like the favorites to go back-to-back.
